My fall semester finally wrapped up a few days ago, so I've been happily resting at home. It won't last long unfortunately because I start a new semester in two weeks! Yikes! I'll enjoy my short break while it lasts, which includes flying to snow-filled Wisconsin next week for my annual Christmas trip. In the mean time, I've been reorganizing my office and watching festive films! My favorite holiday film is White Christmas, which I mentioned in a post awhile back. It's so cheerful and warm, and the dance performances are the best!
This is one of my favorite scenes because it's so romantic, joyful, and captures the era of old Hollywood films quite well. It was actually difficult to take screen captures because they dance so quickly! Here's the clip that goes along to this wonderful scene.
The film ends with a great performance of the song, "White Christmas". I couldn't imagine a Christmas without Bing Crosby singing, or seeing this film. In the midst of so much strangeness in the world, it's nice to take the time and see something positive and sweet ♥
