erlend

It's been far too long since I've had a photograph of Erlend on here, which is blasphemous considering she is adorable. Perhaps pet owners are the only ones to understand, but nothing makes me happier than seeing her little stomping feet on their way over to me! I'm usually the type who prefers to stay home over going out incessantly, but with school work and my shop I am now permanently within my home's walls! I'm exaggerating of course, but here's what I've been up to lately:

room

I was sick in bed this weekend, but I got to stay in my comfortable bedroom. This is Donald's side of the room. I arranged it to include his favorite things, since he loves Leonard Cohen and Alpacas (I do too of course)! There's even a photo of baby Donald ♥

I bought this poster for him/me for our room. It's the best ever!

pumpkin pie
erlend and pie

We made a pumpkin pie one night, since we couldn't resist fall flavors. Erlend was obviously a big fan!

bonjour card

I've been working on several projects (most of which take time to finalize) but this is the first note card that I've designed that's now available in the shop! I illustrated the little girl with my dreams in mind - since I wish I could wear her dress. There are only four left!

I also got my hands on lovely heart stickers in three colors: pale pink, red and silver. If you love stationary as much as I do, little heart stickers are a simple way to brighten personal letters. I've been sending snail mail to my sister in England since she moved, and I'm definitely keeping some for myself! I hope you all have a great week and don't catch a cold! x

  1. How lovely! I wish I could eat a slice of pumpkin pie right now. We celebrated Thanksgiving one year with my uncle (who is from Florida) and my aunt made a gorgeous pumpkin pie. I never see it here in Australia and I simply must learn how to make one. What a cute poster by the way! I am also glad that I ordered one of the notecards! Angie xx

    1. It's so easy to make one! The best recipe that I've made is "Libby's Pumpkin Pie" and instead of a pastry crust, I either use graham crackers or ginger snaps to make a pie crust. It tastes so much better and is quote simple. Thanks so much Angie for purchasing some items from the shop! I sent you a few extra goodies to say thanks :)

    2. Oh thank you Valerie, you are way too sweet to do that for me! I loved featuring your shop on my blog, one reader even said she now knows where to find the perfect paper straws for her children's birthday parties. Thank you also for the name of the recipe and the great tips, I will have to try it out soon! xx

    1. Haha his picture is so funny because he's not blonde anymore - so he just looks like a stranger! I sometimes feel like my brain is just gonna overload, but it's also so rewarding to see the final products. I just wish I had more time to do everything I wanted. Too bad school gets in the way! hehe. Hope you're doing amazing Polly! :)

    1. I didn't have an oven for years so I totally know what you mean! In fact, I didn't see one in real life until I was like 13 haha. Erlend is doing good now, but she is diabetic so he gets sick from time to time. It's such a frustrating thing but we just keep helping her get stronger. She's not ready to leave us yet :) Hope you're doing well Nana! xx

  10. I was actually sick all weekend as well, which stinks cause you don't have a proper weekend but I suppose it's alright since you miss less school. Donald was so cute as a little boy! He kind of looks like Jimmy when he was younger in that photograph. And those heart stickers are so cute! I love sending letters and the term "snail mail" of course :)
