a walk in the garden for audrey grace

Several weeks ago I collaborated on a photo shoot with Jaclyn Bethany of Audrey Grace. The occasion was to celebrate the opening of the Audrey Grace boutique online, which launches today. I had the option of selecting four dresses out of eight to style, so I chose garments which I would likely wear on my own. I had a lot of fun putting together accessories that I owned, with the dresses from the boutique!

Dress: Wayward Daughter, Pearl cardigan: my own by Asos, Kitty flats: my own, Headband: Alexandra Grecco, Bag: vintage, my own

My sister Vanessa helped me immensely on deciding the location, which was a Japanese garden, and working on the entire project. We were a small team of two so I was endlessly thankful for her hard work. It couldn't have happened without her! Jaclyn wanted a retro feel to the photographs, so we thought of representing what a 1950s girl might wear on a trip to Japan. I almost tricked myself that I was there!

Dress: Alyssa Nicole, Capelet: My own, Glitter Sandals: my own by topshop, Sunglasses: my sister's, Bracelet: Marc Jacobs, mine too

The dress above was my favorite to wear. The fabric was almost-metallic and had an incredible sheen. Staying true to the 1950s, I thought it was necessary to include a capelet, since everyone accessorized so much back then. If only we could emulate that effort every day!

    1. I actually never knew that garden existed and it's super close to me! Vanessa had visited on her own and introduced me to it. It's so nice and desolate. I don't think I could have taken photos without feeling absolutely daft if there were lots of people around haha x

    1. Thanks for the luck, we will need it. There's so much to be done argh. Haha I'm not too pumped about heading to london during this busy time but I'm crossing my fingers that we get by okay. I usually dislike places where throngs of tourists are haha. x

    1. It was definitely harder than it looks haha. We had to lug around so much in a giant duffle bag without ruining any of it, so it was quite a task! Then I sent them back to their homes so I did not keep them sadly. The last one was so easy to wear and did not need any clips or tugs here and there :)
