leaning against the wall

My newest additions. A lovely coral dress and old sunglasses that I converted into glittery new shades. They embody the warmth and shine of Spring to me. I'm so relieved that we now have an extra hour of daylight to spend the days outdoors. Gloomy days are no fun.

A few days ago I also got my driver's permit. I can't say that I'm thrilled at the prospect of driving, but I know that it's a necessary aspect of life in Los Angeles. What motivates me is the possibility of driving to a museum on a casual afternoon. No coaxing others to join me; I'd just go! New adventures are surely on the horizon.

p.s. Thank you for all the sweet comments regarding Erlend, she is home safe and healthy now. x

  1. I agree with you on the gloom part. And I'm still in the process of getting my license as well! At least I know I'm not alone.

    1. You live in Southern California, right? We're finally starting to get tolerable weather and another hour for sun! Not alone for sure. I feel like I might be the only 24 year old in Los Angles without a license :)

    1. Haha I feel like I'm going to kill everyone too! Plus my boyfriend has a bigger car than I'd like to drive. I want to drive a mini, fiat or a citroen since they are like toy cars. Thanks, Erlend is doing much better :)

  12. Your blog blows me away every time i visit it. I want to live in it >_< (if this is possible, if not i would be a pretty happy fly on the wall of your dreamy life instead)

Your photography combined with your words (and gorgeous hair O_O) are just marvellous! The colour of this dress is glorious too! Is it vintage? I fear the answer may be a yes :( Ohhh i hope your driving goes ok! <3 <3

    1. Wow, so much sweetness in this comment. Thank you :) The dress is not vintage (although the shape reminds me of it) and can be found at Zara. It didn't cost me an arm or a leg either, hooray. I'm definitely on the hunt for some vintage treasures lately but it's so tough!

    1. Gah, I bet. I think I'd feel better driving with my own car. Borrowing my boyfriend's car gives me a fright, because if I crash than I'd feel even worse!

  15. These are so pretty & feminine, I love the dress. Congratulations on your permit. I must admit I don't use my car as much now I live in a city but when I was at home with my parents in a small town it was a necessity. Practice is key I think!

    1. Definitely! I need to practice at some point, argh. Even though I live in a big city, the public transportation here is horrible, which is too bad. I dream of a transit system like in Paris! I'm always a pro at navigating that type hehe x
