santa barbara pt 22/20/2012
After spending time at the beautiful courthouse, having a picnic and poking around, we climbed the clock tower to see an incredible view of the city. To the north we saw nestled homes within a lush green landscape, and to the south we saw the Pacific ocean. It's easy for me to envision my dream life here, with a little house somewhere near the mountain peaks, which overlook the ocean. Oh, how I wish!
The view was incredible; I never wanted to leave. The area feels so untouched, even though at certain angles you could see sailboats and locals walking their dogs. They know how to live life. It's in these moments that I love the California coast.
After a relaxing afternoon, we changed gears entirely and played a round miniature golf. It's one of my favorite things to do, because it feels like i'm living in the 1970s. I also appreciate the different props that adorn each hole, such as ornate castles and windmills!
After being worn out by complex miniature golf labyrinths, we ate copious amounts of sushi in honor of my birthday. Donald always orders the brightest rolls and nigiri, which I never get tired of photographing. So delicious!
I'll be back in Santa Barbara in April to see Radiohead live, and I already can't wait! x
